Choose a subject by job-to-be-done
Start with what you are trying to do, not with a brand name. Course marketplaces help you browse broad catalogs, course creation platforms help you sell education products, free learning resources reduce cost, coding platforms emphasize practice, language tools build daily habits, creative platforms focus on projects, and LMS tools serve teams or schools.
Individual learners

What changes inside each subject page
Each subject page narrows the choice to platforms that solve a similar learning problem. That makes the rankings more useful than comparing every platform against every other platform. For example, a language app should be judged on habit design and speaking practice, while a corporate LMS should be judged on admin controls, reporting, rollout effort, and integrations.
After choosing a subject, open the individual platform reviews to check pricing, strengths, limitations, alternatives, and direct comparison links. If two platforms both look relevant, use the comparison page to decide which tradeoff matters more for your budget and workflow.
This is also the safest way to avoid broad, mismatched comparisons. A creator platform, a course marketplace, and an LMS can all mention "courses," but they solve different jobs and should not be judged by the same checklist.
If a category feels close but not exact, open it anyway and use the related comparisons to move sideways.
